A cycling weekend in Madrid
Madrid is a city that loves cycling. There are a wide variety of trails and paths throughout its streets that are ideal for the two-wheel sport enthusiasts. An international competition
Teams from Spain, France, Portugal, Russia, Italy, Kuwait, Dubai or Colombia will take part in one of the programmed dates on the calendar, a test for those who want to participate in the three week races that take place in the Summer season.
The first stage will happen on Saturday the 7th of May, with the starting point and finish line being in the Las Rozas town. A very tough stage, mid-mountain, that will start at 9:30am and will pass through some of the most astonishing spots of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. Over 160km and six ports will have much to say when it comes down to resolving who wins the race.
Urban circuit
On the next day, the second phase of Madrid’s Autonomous Community’s Cycling Tour will evolve around the streets of Madrid’s Pilar neighbourhood (Barrio del Pilar) starting at 10:30am in Monforte de Lemos street. The competitors will have to complete 19 laps of a circuit of approximately 5km. This will give the chance for people that want to see the development of the different teams in a day event that is a perfect plan for the whole family.
