Music that is well worth an Oscar

Movies are what they are because of their script, their actors’ interpretations and the director’s expertise…however, have you ever thought what the movie Psicosis would be without those squeaky violins, violas and cellos in the shower? Would Blade Runner be the same kind of magic and pessimism without the Vangelis soundtrack?

Music in movies is a great number of times essential. You can enjoy in Madrid very soon an ideal concert for music and cinema enthusiasts.

The best cinema in Hollywood

The 17th of September, the Royal Theatre of Madrid holds a concert of the Santa Cecilia Classic Orchestra. This is one of the best ones of their style in the old continent.

It’s formed by teachers of a great international career. The Santa Cecilia Classic Orchestra also usually invites some of the best concertmasters in the whole world.

The director in charge of this formation is Kynan Johns. The Orchestra will interpret in the Royal Theatre some very recognisable pieces for the public of movies so well known as The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Gone the Wind, Avatar, Out of Africa, Forrest Gump, Braveheart, Leyends of the Fall, The mission, Pirates of the Caribbean,Titanic or series like Game of Thrones.

This concert is organised by the Excelentia Foundation, a private non-profit organisation that has as its main goal to promote the lyrical heritage and the classical music amongst the public.

In addition to this event, the classical music enthusiasts have another date set in the Royal Theatre with the Santa Cecilia Classic Orchestra and the Excelentia Coral Society of Madrid, where you will be able to enjoy music pieces from Mozart and Bethoven. This time, the leader will be the Canadian director Julian Kuerti.
