Published on February 20, 2017 by Madrid SmartRentals

For years now, tearooms in Madrid have been set as an alternative (or complement) to coffee, and a way to detach from excesses. A millenary beverage that has a kind of liturgy to it.

Today we would like to tell you about some of the best places to have a cup of tea in Madrid, that combine quality, charm and a bit of mysticism.

The best tearooms in Madrid

As always, the list you have below is based on the personal opinion of the people behind this text. These are, for us, the best places to enjoy a cup of tea in Madrid:

  • Tekoe Madrid: In the 22nd of Calle Huertas. This tearoom in Madrid has a wide variety of teas and infusions. They also have juices, slushies and pastries. Don’t miss it.
  • Embassy: Paseo de la Castellana, 12. This exquisite Tearoom was first opened in 1931. It represents a different but complimentary concept to the one in Tekoe. A place to have a cup of tea with some pastries in the most refined way, right in the exclusive barrio de Salamanca.
  • Al Yabal: This one is set with an oriental inspiration and you can find it in the 52nd of Calle Cáceres. An exotic and suggestive tearoom with more than 30 years of history, where in addition to the best examples of pastries, you can enjoy a hookah.
  • Salón des Fleurs: From the oriental fantasy and exotism in Al Yabal we go to a more traditional and elegant suggestion; Salón des Fleurs. In Calle Guzmán el Bueno, 106.
  • La tetería de la abuela: With this name, that oozes tradition and attention to detail, you can find one of the best tearooms in Madrid. Right on the 19th of Calle Espíritu Santo.
