The Christmas bus in Madrid
Inside the Christmas programme developed by Madrid’s city council, for some years now there’s a tradition that has been very popular for both the tourists and locals that want to discover the city from another perspective.
The Naviluz (name chosen by the citizens) is the touristic bus service in Madrid that goes from Plaza de Colón passing
through the most emblematic and beautiful streets that are illuminated by the Christmas lights. You can enjoy it until the 6th of January, from 6-10pm. The only days you will not be able to use this touristic bus in Madrid will be the 24th and 31st of December as well as the 5th of January.
Children up to 7 years old can travel for free, and elderly people have reduced rates. The bus tour is around 40 to 50 minutes and goes through some of the most important streets of the Spanish capital that in this time of the year shine with their own lights: Serrano, Puerta de Alcalá, Cibeles, Gran Vía, Velázquez…
