Madrid Deep Space Communications Complex

The Madrid Deep Space Communications complex (MDSCC) is a communications centre that opened in 1965. This complex is part of the Deep Space Newtork and has more than 6 antennas.

This facility helps the communication in the city, it also serves as an investigation site for radioastronomy. Some of it can be visited in a museum with temporary and permanent collections.

Royal observatory of Madrid

The Royal Observatory of Madrid, officially opened in 1790 why Charles the 4th was reigning. This wonderful building is located in the 3rd street of Alonso XIII’s and has a wide library and different astronomy instruments.

A very recommendable didactic visit, specially for families and people coming to Madrid with children.
