Solidary races in Madrid

With the summer ending, different events are programmed to make your return back to reality a lot easier. Some of these events are the popular and solidary races in Madrid. These events bring sport, health and a good cause together. Today we talk to you about some of the most important ones.

Popular race of the heart

The Spanish Heart Foundation organises the seventh edition of a race that has set out to be a really important race for locals and enthusiasts of these type of competitions.

The 7th Popular Race of the Heart searches to encourage a healthy lifestyle and combat the sedentary nature through the safe sport practise. You can take part in three categories. The children’s race, the popular 4,5 kilometre race (non-competitive) and a 10 kilometre race.

This sporting competition in Madrid has the inscription period open until the 22nd of September. Both the starting and the finish line are situated in Puente del Rey, in Madrid Río. So you can find out a bit more, here’s the link to the event.

A race for all ages

Another solidary competition takes place in Madrid, on the next day as the previous one. The 25th of September, in the Juan Carlos I park, you can take part in the mixed race ‘Menudos Corazones’.

This sporting and charitable event in Madrid has as its main objective to promote sport and a healthy lifestyle, to raise funds for the research and care of children with congenital heart diseases.

The race has three categories: 5 kilometres, 10km and a non-competitive march, also of 5km. There’s also a competition for children.

The little ones can enjoy activities like workshops, paintings, inflatable castles, musical performances… An ideal way to spend a Sunday morning in the city, doing some sport and collaborating with a great cause.
