Museo Reina Sofía: Cubism (s) and experiences of Modernity

An unmissable event for lovers of cubism, a new exhibition inspired by this artistic movement has been presented at the Museo Reina Sofía. Dare to discover the first avant-garde in art. Where the traditional perspective disappears and gives way to representation through geometric figures and endowing them with a multiple perspective that presents different objects seen from different points

What can we enjoy in this exhibition?

More than 70 works of the main referents of cubism with authors, Juan Gris, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, María Blanchard, André Lhote, Albert Gleizes, Metzinger, Vicente Huidobro o Joaquín Torres-García (1912 -1933).

This exhibition aims to recover figures such as Albert Gleizes, Jean Metzinger and the first
Auguste Herbin. Winks to Latin American artists such as Diego Rivera, Xul Solar or Emilio Pettoruti.

In March 2018 we will be able to enjoy the Cubism Seminar (s). Where new narratives that affect Cubism will be addressed and break with some of the dogmas that have founded and reduced an artistic moment and vital founder of modernity.
