Magic in the heart of the city

Magic in Madrid, the shows have a great pull. In a world full of numbers, science and proven facts, magic offers us a bit of fantasy and uncertainty that leaves us astonished.

In the following weeks several shows, workshops and exhibits related to magic have been programmed. Today we tell you about some of them, so you can be surprised the same way as when the rabbit comes out of the hat.

Houdini and the magic in Madrid

One of the 19th and 20th Centuries most enigmatic and fascinating figures comes to Madrid. The illusionist Houdini is the main character (from the 10th of February to the 28th of May) of the exhibit Houdini, Laws of Wonder.The man who defied magic, escapism and illusionism how we know it today is the core of this exposition that takes place in Espacio Fundación Telefónica (Fuencarral 3).

This exhibit goes through his whole life, both his public carrier and private life. In addition to the exposition itself, there will also be several activities for all ages, with a free and open access.

International Magic Festival in Madrid

From the 15th of February to the 12th of March, in the Circo Price de Madrid takes place the 7th edition of the International Magic Festival. Some of the best world’s magicians will take part of this event in the Spanish capital to show as what they can do to make us wonder and dream.

Héctor Mancha, Chris Torrente, Jan Reinder, Jorge Blass, Marco Zoppi…are just some of the names of the magicians that will participate in this festival. Scene magic, illusions, card tricks, close-up magic… everything that takes place in the international Magic Festival of Madrid has a clear objective: surprise you and give free rein to your fantasy.
