Madrid’s World Pride 2017 is coming very soon

The city of Madrid is already prepared for the celebration of the World Pride, the biggest world concentration of the LGBT Pride,

From the 23rd of June and until the 2nd of July, the Spanish capital expect to receive around 2,5 million national and international visitors. Are you going to be one of them?

Activity agenda

The WorldPride inauguration will be in Matadero Madrid, and the closing ceremony in Puerto de Alcalá. During this week, locals and visitors will be able to enjoy an endless number of cultural activities.

On June the 25th the Diversity Race will take place, the first edition of the official WorldPride race that will bring together over 20, 000 runners.

From the 26th to the 28th of June the International Human Rights Conference “Madrid summit” will take place, where important experts and activists in the LGBT discussion will share their experiences and suggestions to fight the discrimination and inequalities.

On the 1st of July right in the centre of Madrid, the most important event of this celebration will take place, the Gay Pride Parade. It’s a world manifestation of the LGBT Pride that will go through the main streets of the city to defend equal rights. A parade that will end with a great party and an open air concert.

The cultural programme of these festivities is formed by three festivals that include theatre, cinema, literature and art for all ages: muestra-t, La Culta and La Oculta.
