Festival Suggestions in October

Summer is slowly turning into the Autumn-Winter season. This new period opens with a series of festival proposals in Madrid, of different sorts. Today we’re going to tell you about the most interesting ones for us.

The frog day

Behind this very original name you can find an event organised by the Barrio de las Letras Shopkeeper Association for the 1st of October. Shops and hospitality establishments plan for this day different passacaglia, workshops, visits and projections that are related to the cinema world.

From a parade of the 501st legion of Star Wars, to the projection of movies and guided visits to the Royal Theatre (30th of October), live music, tastings… the activity range is varied. In the web you can find more information.

Villamanuela Festival

In the area of the Malasaña and Conde-Duque’s neighbourhoods you can enjoy on the 7th and 8th of October a very interesting festival. The VillaManuela Festival is an event that combines music with gastronomy, cinema and different cultural activities.

Madrid PopFest

This indie festival will take place in the Sala Clamores of Madrid on the 30th of September. The main goal behind this festival is to advertise and bring the public closer to some of the emerging artists of the pop, indie and alternative musical panorama of the Spanish capital.
