Christmas is already here. One of the best ways to soak in the holiday spirit in Madrid is to taste some of the Spanish typical Christmas dishes. Today we’re going to show you some of the best ones.

Madrid’s gastronomy in Christmas is varied, these are just some examples that you can ask for during your visit in Madrid.

· Consommé from Madrid: This soup with a vegetable base, veal meat and sherry is one of the most typical dishes in Madrid. Tasty and comforting.

· Lombardy: This dish is elaborated with boiled cabbage cut in julienne strips, with lightly fried onion and bacon.

· Oven red sea bream: After the starters, the red sea bream is other of the essential Christmas dishes. A great fish with lemon, garlic and basil are enough to create a succulent dish.

· Meat: If fish is not your style (seafood is other of the irreplaceable foods in Christmas), you can safely place your bet in one of the various meat dishes that the Spanish gastronomy can offer: Piglet, partridge bird, lamb or turkey are just some of the best options.

· Desserts: The almond soup is one of the most typical Christmas desserts in Madrid. It’s a hot almond cream with cinnamon and vanilla. Obviously you have to try the turron and polvoron (very typical in Spain), as well as the Roscón de Reyes or the torta imperial.
