Our Chueca Building is situated right next to the Vazquez de Mella Plaza, right next to the Chueca and Gran Vía metro stations. This location gives you the opportunity of freely moving around with liberty, and very fast to emblematic placements such as Fuencarral, Gran Vía, Cibeles or Puerta del Sol, as well as that obliged visit to the Art Walk in Madrid.

In these past few years, some great restaurants have been established in Chueca, bringing the innovation and tradition together, expanding the gastronomic palette of the neighbourhood. Some we recommend are:

• Oribu Gastrobar (Calle Barquillo, 10): A perfect fusion of Asiatic and Mediterranean cuisine.
• Lola & Co (Calle Gravina, 18): The perfect union of traditional food with the new gastronomic trends, that counts with a very select wine cellar. Lola & Co is a real must in Madrid’s soulfood.
• Vivares (Calle Hortaleza, 52): Home-made food but contemporary, with Mediterranean touches and influences from Extremadura. A classic.
• Bazaar (Calle Libertad, 21): A cuisine with a Mediterranean essence, but with a slight oriental touch.

Food for your soul

It’s not just limited to the latest restaurants in Chueca. During your stay with us, you will also need to feed your soul, the way only art can. There are several art galleries in Chueca where you will be able to appreciate the works of some great groundbreaking artists.

For example, in Sala Bárbara de Braganza, that belongs to Fundación Mapfre (just in front of the National Library) the exhibits centre around photography. However the Mad is Mad gallery (Calle Pelayo, 48) is all about contemporary artists in Madrid and Spain.

After eating well and a very artful day, you might want to spend some time shopping. If you’re an antique lover, we highly recommend you visit the number 23 in Calle Amirante. Book lovers however, can visit Librería Berkana (Calle Hortaleza, 62), one of the hotspots of this kind of purchasing.
