Another great option for the hop enthusiasts is a sample of some of the many artisanal beers that are made in Madrid. Try out the microbrewery La Cibeles. If you’re planning on visiting Chinchón, don’t forget to buy a bottle of its famous anisette, one of the most known digestive liquors of the Autonomous Community.

Moving away from the alcoholic side, good food lovers also have amazing choices. From the typical pastries of Madrid (turron, San Isidro’s ring-shaped pastries, or the famous violet candies) to the region’s cheeses, such as the Campo Real ones.

In the cold meat chapter (embutido), in Spain there’s such a wide variety that instead of recommending products like Spanish Ham or chorizo, we will tell you some places to take a pick. We suggest you go to Mercado San Miguel, Mantequería Alemana or Mercado de la Paz.
