The Third post about The most beautiful towns in Madrid III, ejoy the first and second post in this thread. Today we finish up with our list of most beautiful towns in Madrid. We’re sure that we might have left some out. This is why we encourage you, the readers of Gran Vía Capital’s blog to suggest some more places that you think should be on the list.
The most beautiful towns in Madrid III
Being for the historical or architectonic heritage, or the beautiful landscape with surrounding nature, Madrid has a wide variety of charming places. In this third part of the post we tell you some of them
- Navacerrada: One of the main natural environments and most beautiful landscapes of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. Located in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, it’s the place to go for ski enthusiasts in Madrid.
- La Hiruela: Located in the northern part of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. This is a very small village but with an incredible charm. The streets and stone houses look like a live photograph perfectly maintaining the image of the past. We recommend you use your visit to walk around the Dehesa de la Hiruela, a truly astonishing forest.
- Cercedilla: In the same way as Navacerrada, this is another classic in the Guadarrama mountains. The town on itself is very nice and has the great added value of its amazing environment and lanscape.
- Miraflores de la Sierra: Located at around 50km, this locality is known for its fountains and for being the place of pilgrimage of many city dwellers, that decide to get away from the busy city in summer or weekends.
- Torrelaguna: You can find the Royal Village of Torrelaguna in the north-eastern side of Madrid’s Community. It dates back to the prehistoric era, and some remains of roman and Celtiberian settlements have been found. The beautiful old town of Torrelaguna was declared National Historic and Artistic Monument in 1974
