Coracera Castle
Located at San Martín de Valdeiglesias. It was built under Don Álvaro de Luna instructions as his residence,as well as a hunting retreat. The style of the building is square floor plant design, and special highlight is the Torre Del Homenaje (Tower Keep) in a pentagonal shape design .
Mendoza’s Family Castle:
This fortified palace ,located at Manzanares el Real, is of late medieval construction. It was erected onthe remains of a Romanesque-Mudejar church. As well as the beauty of the the historical pieces, perfectly preserved, to be mentioned the paintings, tapestries and armours all original that you can see at its museum.
Don Gonzalo Chacón Family Castle
Also known as the ArroyomolinosCastleonly the tower keep remains . This fortification offers free guided tours .
Baraja’s Family Castle
El Castillo de los Baraja, in Alameda de Osuna, was relatively small , only 200 square meters and has a rectangular floor plan. Only two of its towers remain in place today .
Orden of Santiago Castle
Located in Villarejo de Salvanés. The Tower keep , the only element that has survived the years, is particularly distinctive. Built originally in the XII Century by the Christians as a defensive, surveillance point, the Villarejo de Salvanés Castle was rebuilt and refurbished in 2007.
