Allergies, alimentary intolerance and sensitivity to certain products is usually one of the main obstacles that people that have these problems have to face when out in another country or city.
Madrid gluten free products, discover where you can eat
Luckily Madrid is a city that has a lot to offer in terms of leisure, shopping and restauration for people who eat gluten free products. Big restauration chains offer special menus for people who have this culinary requirement. Moreover, everyday there’s smaller restaurants and places that also offer gluten-free opportunities. From the Gluten Free Association in Madrid (Asociación de Celíacos y Sentibles al Gluten de la Comunidad de Madrid) they bring us a list of suggested places:
- La Castafiore.
- Emma y Julia.
- Taberna la Concha.
- El Don de Betty.
- Restaurante Tsunami.
- La Farfalla.
- Restaurante Da Nicola…
As you can see on the list, the restaurants go from the Italian choice to the Spanish traditional cuisine restaurant, going through places to have burgers, or Mexican and Oriental food.
Other choices for gluten-free restaurants in Madrid could be: the pastries La Cocina de San Román (Avenida de Moratalaz, 155), La Briocherie (Plaza de los Tres Olivos) or Las Suertes (Calle Suecia, 11).
For people with a sweet tooth, Madrid also has a wide range of specialized pastries and tea rooms for people with gluten intolerance. Some of them are Singlutentaciones (Mateo Inurria, 11), Confitería El Marqués (Fernando el Católico, 76) or Mordisquitos sin Gluten (Calle Chile, 21)
